What is Permanent Lip Tint/ Lip Blushing?
Lip blushing is a permanent tattoo that can enhance the colour and shape of your lips and give the impression of more fullness. This is done by depositing coloured pigment into your lips and along your lip line to improve the overall look. The colour is subtle to gives natural-looking results.
If you’ve ever tried a lip stain, lip blushing gives very similar results. As pigment heals below the surface of the skin it mimics a stain vs a lip gloss or lip stick. You can still wear your preferred gloss or lipstick over top for a bolder makeup look, but lip blush is meant to give you a pop of colour on the lips with zero makeup.

It’s important to take into consideration your Fitzpatrick Skin Type before booking your permanent lip tint appointment.
Fitzpatrick types 5 and 6 are NOT candidates for Lip Blush until successful neutralization sessions have been completed. During a neutralization appointment we aim to cancel out any grey, blue, purple, brown areas on the lips to match the centre/inner lip colour. Once neutralization is complete then we my consider adding more colours in like pinks and reds.
MOST Fitzpatrick types 4 will also need some neutralization.
SOME Fitzpatrick types 3 need mild neutralization.
My goal is to set you up with realistic expectations. Many people do not realize they require some neutralization. If you are unsure and would like to discuss your lips first please email me a photo of your bare lips with good lighting (preferable outdoors) and let’s chat :)
